We can proudly introduce our new web site today and I flatly refuse to call it web 2.0 - what a crazy name: web 2.0. So when did web 1.0 get fazed out? “Web 2.0″ is a marketing term (an overused one) that I simply don’t like. I am told, however, that our web site is of the proposed look/feel/etc of a good web 2.0 web site. As I am against the term, I proudly dub this a new era in internet history: The first web 2.9 web site!

In all seriousness, and marketing terminology hating aside, I really love the new look of the EIRCA web site. It was designed by the great guys at Equentity and exceeds even their usually incredibly high standards.

What I love about it is how clean and crisp it looks but how it does absolutely everything a commercial web site should: presents products at lightning fast speeds and keeps the visitor in control of their session. We also introduced this new fangled blogging system in addition to the feedback system and some lovely pictures of the DC.

I feel I should type more, but I’ll leave that for another day. Feedback on the new design is most certainly welcomed! That comments box below this post is there for you to use (but not abuse!)

    Hi Simon,

I’m thrilled you like the new site so much! You were pretty picky about it. We were going to go Web 2.7 with you, but you insisted on Web 2.9. Too bad you couldn’t wait for Web 3, but it’s not due to be released for a few months yet. So Web 2.9 it was :)
