Reseller Kit: officially in development (May 17, 2007)
I am biased toward EIRCA, obviously, but I’d have to say that the biggest breakthrough service in the past five years in the reseller hosting industry was the Reseller Kit we developed with DIYHosting, back in 2003. I’d have to say that this is one of my fondest memories in the past 5+ years: Seeing that program splattered everywhere as a hot topic of discussion. It was described as “incredible”, “over the top”, “unmatchable” and a few other complimentary tags. It was good, that’s for sure. So, where did the rights to development of the Reseller Kit go back in 2005, when DIYHosting was sold? I’ll give you two guesses..
Of course we kept them, you didn’t think any different, did you? We knew that somewhere down the line we’d want it back in development. Well, our clients and partners would. So, without further ado, I can happily announce that work is officially underway on the EIRCA Reseller Kit. It will still have us as the only provider in the world to produce and develop such a program.
Equentity developed a GUI for us, and Stephen Polansky (the lead developer on the original Reseller Kit) will assume his role as the lead on this project. Wait, I am describing this as if we’re not even under way. Silly me: Click for GUI preview.
We expect to put the Reseller Kit in to private beta on August 1st. If you’d like to participate, the only requirement is that you’re an existing reseller. Log in to the ticket center, select “Contact CEO” from the Signature Support menu and send me a beta invite request. We’ll be capping it at 15 beta testers so act quickly if you want a sneak peek.

It’s great to see such a positive development… Quick question or maybe even feedback (idea). Is the Eirca Reseller Kit brandable? Can we make it brandable?
THanks

Hi John,
We’re not sure yet on if it’s going to port down to end users or not. We *may* do that after the settling in period, so resellers can also offer a version of the kit to their end users. We’re always open to suggestions and yours is a good one.
Thanks!
